Fazaia Intermediate College E-9 Islamabad was formally known as PAF Inter College E-9 Islamabad. It is directly under the education branch of the Pakistan Air Force. The new building in the PAF Complex Islamabad was built in 2004, with a modern layout and facilities for proper education. Previously the classes from Prep to 8th used to be in the school section building and the matric and F.Sc. classes were held in the college section building which later transformed into Air University in 2000. The college is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) under which it conducts the Board Examination of Matriculation (SSC) and Intermediate (HSSC or FSC).
The main branch of Fazia College is in Sector E-9, Pakistan Air Force Complex, Islamabad, Pakistan. The directorate of education Pakistan Air Force Air Headquarters controls the chain of Fazaia colleges. Fazaia colleges are spread all over Pakistan. Fazia has the most branches across the country, even in remote areas like Sakesar and Shorkot.

The teachers are highly qualified and the institution provides perfect knowledge physically and mentally. There are male staff rooms and female staff rooms.
The college has a staff of about fifty teachers. The average student-to-teacher ratio is one teacher for every forty students.
The college is an English-medium institution with an option to study in Urdu. The college encourages extracurricular activities. Admission is strictly based upon merit and students disobeying the rules of the college in discipline or in studies are struck from the roll of the college.
The college promotes sports and social activities. The dramatics club, the art society, the Naat society, the Sports Batch, etc. are among the social activities of the college.
The college has latest equipment in the computers, biology, physics and chemistry laboratories. The sports facilities consist of a volleyball court, a basketball court and a football field. There are sports grounds and separate cafeterias for girls and boys.
